Buyers stopped browsing. We started measuring.
MentionScope is built by a small team of software and agency people who kept hearing the same question from business owners: “Does ChatGPT recommend us?” The honest answer, for most agencies, was a screenshot taken that morning — a single sample of a probabilistic system, impossible to trend, impossible to bill against. That felt like SEO before rank trackers existed. So we built the instrument.
When someone asks an AI assistant “who’s the best roofer near me,” the shortlist isn’t magic — it’s evidence: consistent entity data, review velocity, citations on the sources the engines trust, machine-readable answers. Evidence can be measured, reported, and improved. MentionScope runs each client’s real buyer questions across ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Gemini every week, scores the results, and turns every weakness into a concrete, billable fix.
Why agencies, specifically
Every existing tool priced this per domain — fine for one in-house brand, absurd for a fifteen-client roster. Agencies needed the pick-and-shovel version: flat pricing across the whole roster, reports that carry the agency’s brand rather than ours, and a fix list that fills next sprint’s retainer. Nobody had built it, so that’s the whole company.
What we believe
Reports should carry your brand, not ours. Prices should be flat, not per-domain. Monitoring without a fix list is theater. And an honest “here’s where you stand” builds more trust with your clients than a cherry-picked screenshot ever will.
